"KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - After months of living in heat that one soldier compared to "sucking on a hair dryer," Canadian soldiers finally got a taste Wednesday of a traditional Canadian remedy.

In a two-day exemption from the military's strict no-alcohol policy, the first of 3,600 beers flown in to the Kandahar Air Field were poured down parched throats, the first suds some had sipped in months."
